capabilities to address irregular challenges to national security.

(Note: The Irregular Warfare Centre and it's IW Center of Excellence were validated by the
USPTO as having first use of a specific
Irregular Warfare center dedicated to military
training, education and best practices associated specifically with Irregular Conflict since
2002 under Delphi International Research's "Joshua Group" capabilities and Irregular
Warfare specified services area.)

approach related to the training of US military forces as recommended by Daniel E.
Gardner, Director of the Readiness and Training, Policy and Programs Directorate within
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, in “Overcoming National
Demarcation in Building Partnership Capacity & Interoperability".  With refinement, the WoN
is used to mass community of interest and purpose towards IW innovation and problem
solving.

The concept of WoN directly applied to the context of Irregular Warfare was initiated by BG
David Grange (Ret.) through
McCormick Tribune Foundation workshops and Irregular
Warfare series publications.

February 2009 - The Irregular Warfare Centre acquires and consolidates a significant
number of small Internet web-hosted sites and URLs related to Irregular Warfare,
Asymmetric Warfare, Hybrid Warfare, and Unconventional Warfare to achieve better

broader intelligence and special operations-related training and service offerings provided
by proven vendors with historical past performance expertise.

wars".

October 2009 - Vice Adm. Robert S. Harward, deputy commander for U.S. Forces
Command, told attendees at the annual C4ISR Journal Integration Conference that
potential adversaries using a combination of conventional and irregular tactics to fight a
hybrid-style war requires the U.S. to deal with this irregular warfare, including emerging
hybrid threats, and commanders must be able to understand, manage and act on the
information they're receiving.

January 2010 - On January 4, 2010, The Center for a New American Strategy (CNAS)
published a report written by MG Mike Flynn, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Intelligence (CJ2) for
the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan (along with Captain Matt
Pottinger, USMC and Paul D. Batchelor, DIA). The report, entitled
“Fixing Intel: A Blueprint for
Making Intelligence Relevant in Afghanistan” details a number of the problems with
intelligence in Afghanistan – and also provides a number of proposed solutions to the
problem.   Members from the IWC were invited to and participated in JFCOM's IW
Intelligence Training Workshop to assist in fixing the very intelligence gaps MG Flynn
requested---due to the fact that IWC has been recognized as historically providing IW
relevant intelligence to the military and intelligence community in multiple theaters.

March 2010 - Recognizing the need for more Research & Development in the areas of
Network-centric Warfare and surge attacks, the Irregular Warfare Centre has created a
sister organization, The Center for Network-centric Warfare.
