COMMANDER SUPPORT The staff and affiliates of Irregular Warfare Centre (IW Centre) understand that our military commands and the intelligence community are in the most appropriate position to provide first line assistance to their commanders and team leaders. We encourage this to continue and do not wish to insert ourselves into the chain of command or decision making process. The Irregular Warfare Centre will, however, supply resource support to commanders that are not receiving accurate doctrine, can not procure appropriate IW Professional Military Education, require better mission planning capabilities, or lack contextual situational awareness and intelligence, which then requires third party assistance due to internal staff deficiencies or in-house experience shortcomings. There is no excuse for tactical incompetence when resources are available to support difficult situations that are not first time occurrences. The key is asking for the help when needed. As such, the Irregular Warfare Centre provides informal and formal reach-back assistance and services to ensure that our warfighters downrange or orchestrating events from command centers are supported effectively so they are in the best position to make informed battle-space decisions without undue risk to themselves, their teams, civilian populations, or the overall end-state goals and strategic objectives.
