Jon Armstrong is a British Army officer with 20 years of experience. He has served in a variety of tactical, operational and strategic appointments across the Indo Pacific, Central Asian, Middle Eastern and European theaters. His research interests include the role of irregular warfare in pre-conflict deterrence, and how irregular effects can be leveraged to support conventional warfighting operations. He holds a BA in War Studies and an MA in Military and Security Studies from King’s College London.
